Industry well-known data agency Luotu Technology announced 2022 domestic laser home projection data. The results show that last year (2022), the sales volume of home laser projection market (including laser TV) in mainland China was 436,000 units, a year-on-year growth of 27.2%; Sales were 4.61 billion yuan, down 8.9 percent year on year.

If the commercial market such as laser business education and engineering is added, the total shipment of domestic laser projection market will still maintain a high of more than 600,000 units in 2022. Compared to the winter market of consumer grade TV and commercial grade flat panel in 2022, laser display is becoming a hot track for industry and capital attention.

North America is the second largest consumer market for laser display products, accounting for more than 20 percent. Followed by Western Europe and Asia Pacific, share of more than 10%; The share of emerging countries and regions in Central and East Africa, Latin America and other regions is relatively low, less than 5%.

An industry expert told the Audiovisual Circle that in laser display technology, China's power is not only leading in scale, but also in brand engagement and market application promotion, patent and industrialization process and many other dimensions are comprehensively "leading".

Especially in the laser display supply chain localization process, has been comprehensively accelerated. Under the support of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and relevant government units, more and more enterprises and scientific research institutions in China are participating in the upstream and downstream areas of the laser display industry chain, focusing on technology research and development and iteration, strengthening the industrial chain, and further improving the localization rate of core components of products.

According to the statistics of Lotu Technology, the localization degree of the four core components of laser display from high to low are anti-light curtain, laser light source, lens, optical imaging chip. Under the technological breakthrough, the localization degree of laser industry chain is expected to increase from 45-55% to 75%-80% in the next 3-5 years, realizing the leap from leading technology to leading industry.

An industry expert told the Audiovisual Circle: in the next 3~5 years, the laser display localization degree eventually reached 80%, its biggest benefit is to effectively further reduce the cost and reduce the impact of the outside "neck".



It can be seen that laser display relies on the innovation advantage of the local whole industry chain in the application scenario dimension, is not limited to the projection of a single "species", began to make an active extension to other "industry" fields and "break the circle", its application boundary is constantly enlarged, thus highlighting the laser display and other competitive products technology in the application level of "difference and competitiveness".
